  • Enel X signs roaming agreements with Allego, Bosch and Innogy

Enel X signs roaming agreements with Allego, Bosch and InnogyThe Italian energy provider Enel has entered into eRoaming agreements with Allego, Bosch and Innogy through its subsidiary Enel X. The Enel-X network is growing from 10,500 to over 30,000 public charging points.

Via the Hubject platform, users of the Enel JuicePass app can now access 19,500 additional charging points in Belgium, Germany, Luxembourg and the Netherlands without having to conclude new contracts. Enel X participated in Hubject last September .

Allego is responsible for the majority of the new charging points. The Dutch network has more than 15,000 public charging stations in the EU. According to Enel X, this includes 200 charging points with more than 175 kW and over 1,000 with charging capacities from 50 to 175 kW. Innogy has connected around 4,000 public charging points to the Hubject network. Bosch contributes around 550 charging points.

"Looking ahead, we will continue to launch similar eRoaming initiatives to promote economic recovery through our sustainable business model," said Francesco Venturini, CEO of Enel X. "To achieve this goal, we will also take Use Hubject's network to create a true Europe-wide electric highway that will lead Europeans to a truly open society through this challenging time. ”

Elsewhere in the announcement, Enel X also gives an outlook on what growth Venturini is aiming for: there are currently 100,000 charging points from Enel X, but private charging points at houses and companies are also included here. This number is expected to increase to 736,000 charging points by 2022 - but the distribution between public and private charging points is not mentioned.

Enel X operates its own charging points in its home country of Italy, but also in Spain and Romania. There are also several roaming agreements so that JuicePass users can also charge in other European countries - for example in Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary and Ireland.
