Skoda Germany has not published a notification, but the new price list for the 2022 model year as of December 1st, 2021 clearly shows that the DC charging equipment has changed. The Enyaq iV 50 with 52 kWh battery can now charge with up to 100 kW as standard, the same applies to the Enyaq iV 60 with 58 kWh. The two versions with 77 kWh battery, the rear-wheel drive Enyaq iV 80 - here is our driving report - and the all-wheel drive Enyaq iV 80X now have 125 kW DC charging power ex works.
So far, the Enyaq only had 50 kW DC charging power available ex works, the full potential depending on the motorization or battery cost 500 euros extra - this was also listed in the price list as of 01.09.2021. If someone wants to look it up: The options for charging power are listed under "Exterior equipment".
For customers, the higher charging capacity means either a saving of 500 euros or - if they did not order the option - a significant time saving. With the Enyaq iV 60, the DC charging time drops to 80 percent from 55 to 35 minutes, with the Enyaq iV 80 from 70 to 38 minutes.
The change does not only affect Skoda Germany: Skoda UK has issued a notice that the 80 model will also be delivered from the factory with the 125 kW charger. For the Enyaq iV 60, however, Skoda UK specifies a maximum charging power of 120 kW. However, the German price list (and also the configurator) clearly mentions 100 kW.
There are also ambiguities with the base prices: According to the information from the Skoda press page, nothing has changed in the base prices for the 2022 model year compared to the price list from 09/01/2021. In the configurator, however, prices are now 800 euros higher. The 109 kW base model is in the configurator at 34,600 euros, but still in the list at 33,800 euros before the environmental bonus is deducted. The Enyaq iV 60 now apparently costs 39,650 euros instead of 38,850 euros, the 80s 44,750 euros instead of 43,950 euros. The all-wheel drive model, the Enyaq iv 80X, is the only variant not affected by the price increase: It is still available at prices from 47,000 euros before promotion in the configurator and the list.
The heat pump, on the other hand, has become cheaper: instead of the previous € 1,150, it will in future cost € 990 extra. However, it is still not available for the basic Enyaq iV 50 model. Some of the prices have also changed for the rest of the option list. The Convenience and Convenience Plus packages are each 20 euros more expensive, but the prices of the two driver assistance packages have not changed - to name just two examples.
By the way: Skoda has not yet mentioned the further increase in the maximum DC charging power to up to 135 kW or even 150 kW, which Volkswagen recently announced for the ID.5 GTX , for the largest battery option. 125 kW are still mentioned there. It is not known whether the Enyaq will receive the update at a later date.
